The UK has been ranked the second-best investment destination by global CEOs, marking a significant achievement in the 28-year history of PwC's CEO Survey. This is the first time the UK has reached such a prestigious position, reflecting the growing confidence among business leaders in the country’s economic prospects. Notably, 61% of UK CEOs expressed optimism about economic growth in Britain over the next year.

The survey also revealed that 14% of CEOs believe the UK will attract the largest share of planned international investment, second only to the US. Interestingly, this upbeat outlook among global CEOs contrasts with recent concerns about government tax hikes and increased regulatory costs. This shift in sentiment highlights a broader trend of CEOs seeking to diversify and invest in new markets, with over a third venturing into new sectors to maintain competitiveness.
